Happy fourth of July Dakota and Cody and mum ! gret advice we have had dogs turn up in shelters badly cut from glass windows they have run through! If you need to keep your doggie home alone keep them in a den like room..laundry etc with water food bedding and a radio or even a television on.yes microchips! also important..we have not gone out on new yaers eve for 11 years because I would freak for the doggies ..the cats are inside and don’t care much and our doggies sleep inside all the time to but the noise hurts their ears..so early in the day we run then around..walk them..have the tv going a bit louder than normal and stay put with them.I always have in my car but very handy the day after..dog treats leads collars etc..so if I see a lost waif i can tempt them with a treat..pop a collar and lead on and get them to the shelter for reuniting with their owners..i only give a small treat as you don’t know what allergies etc a doggie might have…but this is a safer option than a dog loose on the road 🙂
Big hugs to you all Fozziemum xx
Great advice Dakota!! I’ve heard of so many people who don’t think about the noise and crowds and then end up losing their dogs! The infograph gives a lot of other great information that people might not think of either. Such as treats in place of people food. I might add that people should make sure any garbage bins have a lid and are secured. Lots of folks eat corn on the cob this time of year and cobs can be really bad for dogs.
Hope you have a great 4th! I know you’re mom will make sure you’re safe. 🙂
