PetSafe presents their third annual
Bark for Your Park Contest!
Calling all dog owners, animal lovers, city officials, parks and recreation directors,
pet professionals and anyone who wants to
improve his or her community!
Nominate YOUR city to win a $100,000 dog park!!
To nominate a city, and for more information, simply visit www.petsafe.net by May 31. Finalists will be selected based on the availability of land, civic leader support, population size and total number of votes from community supporters. PetSafe will select 15 finalists based on information provided by the cities, and each community must provide documentation of land availability and civic leader support to be eligible.
Once you’ve nominated your city, supporters can vote daily on www.petsafe.net and PetSafe’s Facebook page.

On June 5, PetSafe will announce the finalist communities that will continue “barking” for their park by voting daily on www.petsafe.net and PetSafe’s Facebook page. The finalist city with the most votes will be named the “top dog” and win a $100,000 PetSafe dog park, and four additional pet-passionate finalist cities will receive $25,000 to put toward their local dog park plans. “Bark for Your Park” contest winners will be announced on July 31.

Great post. Mom put in our city but we are not good at contests, way too stressy, as some people really go all out to win and that is just not us. I don’t think we have a chance but we sure are going to be happy for the winner! What a wonderful thing!

Not much of a dog community around here…still mostly groves and farm dogs..It is a fantastic opportunity for an area with a strong dog owner population
What a great idea. Cities really need dog parks! I often wonder how I would get my dogs exercised if I lived in a city. I guess they would adapt, but they would be so much happier if they had somewhere to run free (although, I’m not so sure Oreo would like having to actually share the park!).

Bark for you park is a great idea. We have quite a few really great dog parks in our city. We are very lucky that places around feel that they are very important 🙂

That’s a great idea for American cities. One thing I notice when I’m surfing about blogville is that in America there are a lot less parks. Here in Aberdeen we have 6 main parks and lots of smaller gardeny parks!

I submitted our town for a park, but now I’m voting for East Rockway NY, they lost their park to hurricane Sandy.
