I couldn’t believe my luck when Mom received some flavors to try:

Here is where Mom screwed up.
She made the Original Carob for my birthday and guess where the photos are? They are in her FRIED computer that we told you about a few days ago. Once Mom uploaded the photos from her camera the brainiac DELETED THE PHOTOS! So we don’t have those for you.
But…all is not lost!
Mom decided to make one of my refill packs so that she could take new photos for all of you!
The pack she made was PIZZA FLAVOR! YUM!
Here is the list of ingredients in the Pizza flavor:Organic Oat Flour, Organic Rye Flour, Cheddar Cheese, Parmesan Cheese, Romano Cheese, Oregano Flakes, Baking Soda, Baking Powder
PetCakes couldn’t be easier to make!
You just mix one packet of dry mix, 1 tablespoon ketchup and 1/3 of a cup water.
Then you fill the pan
(ignore the white stuff…Mom isn’t super bright and used too much cooking spray)
Then you microwave for 2 and a half minutes!
Even my Mom can handle that!
Once they come out of the microwave you have to wait 10 minutes for them to cool.
Then! Enjoy!!
To keep the treats fresh you can refrigerate them for up to 1 week or freeze for 2 weeks.

Happy Furday everyone! It’s Dakota! Not only do I have “Frosty Paws” from our bitter and SNOWY Michigan weather, I was the LUCKYWINNER of a great give-away over at one of my favorite blogs, Dog Tested Mother Approved, a blog where they share “dogproduct reviews, tips and ideas” or, as they like to say, “the Tried and Chewed”. Now, I have to tell you a funny story. Mom was at the store last week and while she was looking for something decadent to indulge instuff her face with for theSuper Bowl, she stumbled upon the Frosty Paws in the human ice cream section! Of course she didn’t have her coupons with her, so she figured while she saw them in front of her face, rather than wait, she would buy a package for me. We hear Frosty Paws comes in peanut butter flavor and vanilla, Mom only saw the vanilla at our store, so she bought that one.
Mom decided that I could have my Frosty Paws while she and Dad were enjoyingpigging out on their frozen yogurt.
WARNING!!! If you are a dog that inhales his food like I do, Mom has a warning for you! Be sure to thaw your Frosty Paws enough that you can mash it up in a bowl. WHY?Guess what I did?? Mom and Dad took the frozen treat out of the cardboard container and put it in my bowl, without thawing it a bit or mashing it up. Mom thought I would gingerly lick or nibble on it. Mom apparently forgot who she was talking about. I GRABBED THE ENTIRE BLOCK of frozen treat and ran while clenching the entire block between my teeth! I did my best showdog- lineage- prance around the living room, all the while STILL holding the frozen block of Frosty Paws with my teeth. I LOVED it so much that I had to take it to my special hide out under the dining room table where no human hands can reach me! Mom was screaming about how I would mess the carpet and Dad kept saying “Do you believe what he just did!!??” The best part? They never got it on video because I was too quick for them!
I ate that baby up AND licked every bit up from Mom’s beloved oriental fake rug!
Yeah, I know it is freezing cold in many places in the U.S., but join me in a delightful daydream. It’s mid-August, the “dog days of summer” and you are one panting hot dog! Let Frosty Paws transport you back to those days with its cold, delicious and tasty goodness!! Doesn’t matter if it is freezing cold out or boiling hot. I love Frosty Paws by Purina so much that I can eat them ANY TIME! When I do, it reminds me of this:

I have featured Freshpet in the past and it is my pleasure to do so again! Mom and I think highly of this company, everything that they do is first-rate!

I’ll tell ya when Mom opened the bag to give one of those sumptuous smoky smelling strips to me, I nearly lost my mind! That’s why there isn’t a photo of me eating them…I was TOO FAST FOR MOM! At one point, Mom held the bag out to me and I grabbed a bacon strip right out of the bag! They look AND TASTE like REAL BACON STRIPS!
Mom apologizes about the blurry shot, I wouldn’t stop moving because I wanted those Turkey Bacon Treats!!!
Who DOESN’T love bacon? Mom was watching TV this morning and that “Pioneer” cookbook lady was on and she was making meatloaf ready for this?…WRAPPED IN BACON!
I know that regular bacon is made of pork but many people like my Mom, use turkey bacon because it is a leaner alternative. Don’t get your fur ruffled, it is still crunchy the way we like it but has fewer calories and fat!

It seems as if it has been furever since I have barked at you! I haven’t been on the computer much because last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Mom was at Nestle Purina for the “Meet Purina Pet Blogger Summit.” Mom had an outstanding time, but the trip to Purina is where some of Mom’s mischief began.
If you read my blog back in August, Mom had mentioned how she was supposed to attend the premier of the new Disney movie Frankenweenie…..(the operative words here are was supposed to attend.) and post her review TODAY.It was MOM who was the “weenie” on this one! Mom had a ton of blogs to pre-schedule before her trip to Purina and couldn’t make the premier, so because of Mom’s MAJOR MISCHIEF I’m not gonna let Mom blog about a movie that she didn’t see! We will tell you that the movie opened on October 5th so YOU can see it, and if you want to see the trailer that Mom had posted on my blog, you can click here.

Now, on to Part II of Mom’s Mischief! Mom went to Purina as one of their CAT BLOGGERS, (because of Cody!) not as a DOG BLOGGER, (they didn’t even know that I exist! What’s up with THAT??!!) So, where is she posting her first blog post about Purina? HERE.The woman has serious issues!
In an attempt to salvage Mom’s already shaky credibility, Mom wanted to share with you a super fun and interesting event that she attended while visiting Purina. The event was LUNCH if you know Mom, writing about food should come as no surprise, but I digress.
The lunch that Mom was raving about took place at the Purina Culinary Center,(Pet-inspired Chefs for Chef-inspired Pet Food)
Lunch was prepared by Chef Amanda Hassner who has one goal when she comes to work at the Purina Culinary Center every day and that is “to inspire people who create pet food so that they can enrich the lives of pets and the people who love them. She combines her passion for pets with her culinary expertise, and her creations in the Culinary Center have influenced many of Purina’s products.”
Mom and her blogging buddies were served a sumptuous sampling of dishes that were made for human consumption but were the inspiration of actual Purina products that are on the market today!
One of the dishes that Mom was served was Amuse Bouche. What are Amuse Bouche? Glad you asked! From Wikipedia: “Amuse-bouches are different from appetizers in that they are not ordered from a menu by patrons, but, when served, are done so for free and according to the chef’s selection alone.”
One of the Amuse Bouche that Mom tasted was the inspiration for Beneful® brand Baked Delights™ specifically the Savory Bacon Shortbread.
Mom received a sample bag of these to take home and you can see my reaction!
You guys should check these out, they are delicious! They made up for the mischief that Mom caused!
