Hi everyone! It’s Dakota and am I ever excited to tell you about my latest find!!
As many of you know, doggies can be messy eaters, for that matter, kitties can be as well, but since this is a DOG BLOG we aren’t going to worry about THEIR mess today! It wasn’t so much that I was particularly messy with MY food, the problem in our house was the WATER!
You see, Shelties are pretty smart. If my Mom and Dad were remiss slow on the uptake about filling my water bowl enough, I had an excellent way of reminding them. I used to knock my water bowl over on to the floor! It was sooo much fun! Occasionally there would be some water left in the bowl and it would make the prettiest patterns on my Mom’s Pergo floor!
Also, Mom does laundry in the same area that my bowl is in and she was notorious for knocking it over and spilling water everywhere! It was sooo much fun to watch! The same thing would happen when either Mom or Dad would fill my water bowl, they are too lazy to pick up the bowl, so they often lean over the baby gate, (we should have called it “Watergate” but I digress), to fill it and yep, you got it! They would overfill my bowl and I would have fun listening to them bark curse and blame each other for HOURS!
Sadly the water show is over.

I tip my’s water up, then play in it ,all on the kitchen floor… It’s great. I fink I would likes one of those posh feeders though 🙂

Sara you should DEFINITELY get it!!! I had the same problem. That does NOT happen anymore. This is so well made, so durable, it has completely solved our knocked-over-water-bowl problem! This is one of the BEST things I have ever won!

Oh Wow! That is just so cool! Me thinks it would keep the ants out too! Because of the cold weather wes had, they has had a population explosion. Yous should see Mommy screaming as she bleaches them to death in the kitchen!

Nellie, one of MANY things that Mom, Cody and I love about you is your enthusiasm!!! We think you are right! The ants would have a much harder journey so I bet it would keep them out too! The bowls wouldn’t be sitting on the floor any longer!

Wow – what a cool thing to win! I bet you’ll figure out how to make a new mess in no time though. Maybe you can dunk the kitties in the new bowl, and then they’ll drip water everywhere when they run off like you dumped them in battery acid…? Plus, then the CATS get the blame. 😉

Very cool! Like the high back wall. We recently started mixing Honest Kitchen food in w/ Rita’s meals and it does tend to end up on the wall behind her food-bowl stand! As for the water… she’s such a sloppy drinker! Wakes away from the bowl with water dripping from her lips. I don’t think anything will help with that!

@Savannah you are soooooooo silly! I would NEVER hold it against you! Everyone does it cause of that darned Dakota Fanning being a girl and because I am so “pretty!!!!” Everyone just thinks that I am a girl!!!! I love you and ALWAYS Will!
How cool! Our mom went and bought us a great big bowl at the feed supply store. It isn’t as pretty as yours:( Mom says it is really big and that way she doesn’t have to fill it up 10 times a day–only three times now! We drink lots of water!
Well it is only my kitty brother and I that use that bowl, I drink a lot of water too and I have a large bowl that fits perfectly in it!! It just might work for you! Barks and licks and love, Dakota

That is a really neat bowl and should keep the spills off the floor and I love the color. Unfortunately newfs like to put their head in the water and take it all over the house.
